Moving Beyond Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: What does justice in early childhood look like?

In this talk, Dr. Neitzel talks about the current state of early childhood education as well as the ways in which racism and white supremacy influence policies and practices. At the conclusion of the talk, concrete strategies are provided to translate what was learned into practice.

Using an Appreciative Inquiry Framework to Promote Systems Change

In this talk, Dr. Neitzel provides background information about the ways in which racism and white supremacy show up within the early childhood system. An appreciative inquiry framework is then presented, which offers districts and organizations with a strengths-based approach to systems change. In this model, the voices of those most affected are centered to work towards more meaningful change.
