Chiquita Jackson is a social entrepreneur, policy advocate, and community leader dedicated to disrupting cycles of poverty and driving systemic change. As the founder and CEO of Chiquita Jackson Enterprise Corp, a poverty innovation social impact hub, she works to create equitable opportunities for underserved communities through workforce development, entrepreneurial support, youth leadership development, and investigative research and advocacy.
Overcoming personal hardships, including homelessness, food insecurity, and the loss of both parents, Chiquita turned adversity into action, becoming the first in her family to graduate high school and college with a degree in Political Science and Sociology. Her lived experience fuels her passion for addressing economic inequality and ensuring that marginalized communities have access to the resources and tools necessary to thrive.
Chiquita has built strategic partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies, including the White House Faith and Neighborhood Partnerships, the National Coalition for Homelessness, and Progressive Maryland, to advocate for sustainable policy solutions. She has served as a Reparations Commissioner for the City of Greenbelt and as a Board Director for Light of Africa, expanding her impact beyond the U.S. to economic empowerment initiatives in Ghana.
