Donovan Boyd Sr. (The Marketing Coach) husband and father of 3, is an award-winning Author, Speaker, Educator and CEO/Founder of The Boyd Group, LLC a marketing, branding and management company located in Cleveland, OH.
Prior to starting up The Boyd Group, Donovan served as an intern in the urban marketing department for Atlantic Records. Donovan was a volunteer coordinator for Russell Simmons’ Hip Hop Summit Action Network. He spent 2 years as a Marketing Director for a local charter school in Cleveland, OH while maintaining an Artist management and promotional company for 4
years. Held the position of Head of Advertising and Entertainment for Jack Entertainment for 5 years. Since then The Boyd Group was created with the mission to help businesses & individuals unlock their brand potential through innovative strategies that create brand value and aid customer loyalty.
Boyd has coached hundreds of entrepreneurs and has represented clients such as Sam Sylk, The Hair Groupie, Local Charter schools, small business owners and more. In 2017 he completed a 20-city national book tour for his award-winning book “The brand Playbook: The ultimate game plan for building your business” and he just released his second book “Clock Management: A Parent’s Guide to Managing Family and Business” in 2018. He is the Creator of Brandy & Branding, and Authors and Answers, Co-host of the Pint Size Podcast and the co-founder of BrandB4Marketing.com. Donovan has 12 years of experience in Marketing and Holds a Bachelors in Marketing & Communication from Fordham University and a MBA from South University. In 2018 Donovan Boyd was selected as Black Enterprise magazines BE Modern Man 100 Men of Distinction and was awarded the Trendsetter of the Year award from the BPACF.
