Dr Strahil Karapchanski

Dr Strahil Karapchanski is the founder and CEO of Extra Mile Strategies Ltd. His professional biography is a series of successive steps that led him to entrepreneurial activity in support of his vision for a better public environment by investing more precision, knowledge and passion. He has 14 years of experience in strategic management of the public sphere, project management, team management and international coopеration. Master in European Studies and Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science, Strahil has expertise in regional development and cross-border process management. He believes in the unlimited potential of the extra mile as a worldview and its power to bring change.

Between 2011 and 2019, Dr Karapchanski served as Deputy Mayor of Ruse Municipality. He was in charge of strategic planning, sustainable development, international relations and project & portfolio management (73 successful projects with total budget exceeding 145 mil EUR; most of them co-funded by the EU).

Between 2010 and 2020, Dr Karapchanski worked at the Business and Management Faculty of Ruse University. He taught at the Department of European Studies, International Relations and Security in the following courses: "Institutions and Decision-Making of the EU", "Common Policies of the EU", "European and Global Funds and Programs", "European Comparative Public Administration" and "International Relations and International Organisations".
