Bio

Paula C Snyder, is a motivational speaker, who believes everyone needs, and has, a little bit of “creative genius”. She’s journeyed to recognize, then channel, her own version. Paula now inspires others to ignite and use their “hidden creative genius” for toppling roadblocks, gaining higher workplace satisfaction, and meeting everyday challenges.

Also a vocalist, musician, writer, and functional artist, Paula’s enjoyed diverse adventures. From arts entrepreneurship (since age 15) to traditional team-based employment, she’s earned recognition and many references along the way. Fun fact: One summer she even hitchhiked alone across country with only $50 in her pocket!

Taking Ownership Even When You Aren't the Boss

Taking Ownership Even When You Aren't the Boss: Using Your hidden Creative Genius to Enhance Employee/Employer Experiences:

Ever hear the comment "It's not my job"? Though it's good to understand what we are "supposed to do", it takes some creative thinking and actions to put ourselves into an "ownership" frame of mind. Why should we take ownership? It's a win-win for both employee and employer.

In this talk, Paula shares her years of experience in "taking ownership" to show employees how to gain an extra level of satisfaction from their work, build new skills for upward movement, and earn the recognition/rewards of doing so.

Out of the Box: Using your hidden Creative Genius to Break Free

In the corporate setting, we have laws, rules, and methods we've created to reach our bottom lines. There are times the boxes we impose by following the same procedures, stifle our ability to think more openly and brainstorm new ideas. When the things we are doing aren't working, or we need a boost of new energy, it's time to break free from the "same old", and set new precedents.

Paula shares stories and examples of limitations versus taking steps outside the box to remind us we have the ability to call on - and act with - our less-inhibited Creative Inner Child for innovative work activities.

Igniting Your Child's Hidden Creative Genius: Exploring the Arts:

Parents & Grandparents often ask me when they should put their child/grandchild into music or art lessons. It depends... There is something to be said for exposure to the arts and music. Lessons are focused and great for the determined child. If we want our children to embrace the arts, we need to approach it on a level of family enjoyment. Every child is not a prodigy. On the other hand, don't underestimate your child's "Hidden Creative Genius"!

In this talk, Paula discusses the effects of personally being raised in a musical/artistic environment, her experiences with kids and their ability to commit (or not) to their own interests, the difference between forceful versus joyful immersion in the arts, and parental guidance (or interference) in the process of creative exploration.

The Journey - Combustible to Compatible (with Creative Genius)

(Solo talk - Mother Daughter duet may be available on occasion)

What do we tell our kids when they are off to do something similar (or stupid) that we did at their age? Do we want to save them? Encourage them? Or manage them? How do we know what to do - or when to let go? Eventually kids grow up, and do the things they are going to do. There is no way to stop them, but we can prepare them.

Based on personal events: Mother & Daughter each have unique stories about their individual road trips, where those roads led, and how their experiences brought them closer together as adults. This dynamic duo now bonds over creative activities, business partnership, respectful understanding, open communications, and mutual love.

Yes, we can survive parenthood (and childhood) whether raising our kids as partnered or single parents!

STAYING INSPIRED: Using Your hidden Creative Genius in the Journey of Life:

What do we do when roadblocks stop us in our tracks? Slow down? Proceed through? Go around? Back up? Life is full of roadblocks, whether physical/mental limitations, changes in employment, health issues, or relationships.

In this talk, Paula describes the arsenal of "tools" we already have at our disposal. Determining which tool to use and when, can be an art! As we begin to understand what's available to us, we can experiment with how best to use those tools, at any given time. There is not always a single solution or formula to follow. Instead, learning how to THINK like a Creative Genius goes a long way to get us through roadblocks, climb mountains, and navigate our personal oceans.
