The Intersectionality of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Sustained innovation is recognized as a critical driver for organizational growth. It remains a challenge for organizations across many industries.

The most innovative organizational cultures reinforce the notion that everyone is a source of potential ideas.

Innovation requires the ability to see things differently. Bringing unique viewpoints together often is the spark for breakthrough ideas, and this is where diversity, equity, and inclusion thrives.

My keynote presentation combines storytelling, mixed visual media, compelling data, and tangible takeaways to convey the critical importance of equity and inclusion in creating innovative organizational cultures and inventions.

Inclusivity in Recreational Design

This presentation discusses the importance of inclusivity in recreational design for municipal and government audiences.

Intent and Impact: Best Practices in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Intentions matter, but do your actions align with your organization’s intent? Are your strategy’s goals creating meaningful results for diverse communities?

Equity, inclusion, and diversity require informed and decisive actions to deliver meaningful progress.

At times, organizations have certain rhetoric to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity in their strategic plans with minimal actions to support their intended commitments.

Intentions can match actions, but certain steps are required to meet those commitments in a meaningful way.

This presentation explored how organizations and individuals can align their intent with meaningful impact to support their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Preservation in Indigenous Culture in Higher Education

This presentation highlights the importance of preserving a cultural lens within curriculum and student engagement practices.

Strengthening Research Excellence through Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

To increase excellence in research as well as its social relevance, the integration of equity, diversity and inclusivity analysis into the development and evaluation of policies, processes and programs is necessary to enhance the scientific quality and usefulness of the research.
