Bio

Dr. Alexander Eastman is a trauma surgeon and emergency medical services physician based in Dallas, where he continues to split his time between caring for patients, supporting first responders, and working on public-safety initiatives. He serves as Chief Medical Officer for the Dallas Police Department and holds the rank of Lieutenant, providing medical guidance for officers in the field and helping shape how the department responds to high-risk situations. He also works with Dallas Fire-Rescue as Assistant Medical Director, focusing on improving emergency care before patients reach the hospital.

Dr. Eastman remains active in trauma surgery in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and teaches as an associate professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. 100% Anti-Bullet Hole: Lessons in Leadership and Survival from the Trauma Bay to the Breach Point

Dr. Alexander Eastman has successfully stopped bleeding in the Operating Room, as a civilian being shot at by multiple shooters on Dallas Streets during the 2016 Ambush, and as an employee of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Protective Operations. The "high energy" nature of Dr. Eastman's presentation is "story driven." Dr. Eastman will reveal how he makes decisions while performing Trauma Resuscitation, High Risk Law Enforcement Operations, and how his audience can use the same decision making process to perform well under Extreme Stress, be resilient as a Team, and turn Chaos into Controlled Outcomes whether that Crisis is Medical, Operational, or Organizational.
