Shahidah is a passionate emerging speaker, founder of Black Girls Learn Languages, and co-founder of Sisters Only Language Summit. Shahidah holds a Master's degree in International Management & Information Systems from Fachhochschule Suedwestfalen in Germany, where she gained knowledge in a diverse set of topics, including e-business, marketing, change management, and leadership. With diverse international academic and work experience living abroad as a Black woman, she brings a unique and fresh perspective to the topics of language, expat life, cultural awareness, and Black women empowerment.
Shahidah's expertise extends beyond language and culture. With experience in customer-centric roles, project coordination, process management and training administration across various industries, she has developed a strong foundation in relationship building, stakeholder management, and problem-solving. Her expertise and skills in these areas make her a well-rounded and effective speaker.
As a keynote speaker, Shahidah is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with others. She has spoken at several conferences, including the Black Women in Media Conference & Awards, Women in Language, Sisters Only Language Summit, and The Language Career Summit, among others. Her engaging presentations, filled with practical tips, personal anecdotes, and humor, leave audiences feeling inspired and motivated.
In addition to her speaking experience, Shahidah has earned recognition in publications such as Travel Noire, Bauce Magazine, and Bronze Magazine. She is also listed as a co-author of Udochi Okeke's book, Learning Languages: Tips on How To Learn Faster and Why You Should Love Language Diversity.
