Bio

Yvette Louisell became a juvenile offender at age 17 and started a life without parole sentence at age 18. Through hope, faith, perseverance and the support of countless people who believed in second chances, she was rehabilitated and released after 29 years in prison. Her story highlights the potential for redemption that even the worst juvenile offenders possess and provides a message of hope for all. Now a professional support staff member for a social service agency, Yvette has spoken at legislative subcommittees, community college graduations, parole board conferences (via video), and prison re-entry Bible studies. Yvette's experience and message show that it is never too late to become the person you always wanted to be.
