Raphael Stephen is a Nigerian Social Entrepreneur and youth development specialist who is deeply passionate about the next generation of leaders in Africa. He founded the FAME Foundation (www.thefamefoundation.org.ng) in 2017. This volunteer-driven youth non-profit social enterprise utilizes education and training as a tool for developing the leaders we wish we had in Nigeria through secondary education.
In nearly a decade his initiative has provided over 40,000 youths with access to leadership and skills-based education, these youths are mostly from low-income families in underserved communities. Raphael is also an experienced development professional in Education, Youth Development, Non-profit Management, Fundraising, Technical Advisory, and Sustainability.
He believes that the missing ingredient in the secondary education system is the absence of leadership and skill-based learning in classrooms. Consistently and steadily, the organization is solving the leadership and learning crisis in Nigeria and Africa, one school and community at a time.
As a passionate changemaker, storyteller, and transformational speaker, he has shared insights on prominent stages, including TEDx talks. His work has also earned him numerous accolades.
