Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Quinn’s passion for STEM started at an early age. His first exposure came through Project Lead the Way, a nonprofit organization that has developed a STEM-based curriculum for primary and secondary schools across the United States. Having participated in the program throughout high school, he leveraged his newly developed STEM foundation to pursue an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tulsa. While at the University of Tulsa, Quinn conducted research on autonomous game-playing robots and began mentoring at the North Tulsa YWCA TechGYRLS program.
Recognizing his newly found passion, Quinn continued mentoring throughout his undergraduate career. After graduating from TU with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics, he entered the energy industry. He has held various roles of increasing responsibility in California, Texas and supported a project on the Northwest Coast of Australia. Today, Quinn is still passionate about mentoring and education. He has taken on several public speaking engagements, participated in panel discussions for Chevron, Project Lead the Way, & NACME (National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering), and served on advisory committees for The College Board and Project Lead the Way.
In addition to his undergraduate degree from the University of the Tulsa, Quinn also has an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Quinn released his first children’s book focused on exposing young children to various STEM professions in 2020.
