Noel Rodriguez

Hello. My name is Noel Rodriguez. I was born in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico to an American mom and a Venezuelan dad. My date of birth is June 22, 2000. It was a life changing day for my parents. I was born blue with an Apgar score of 2. I must have been resusitated eventually because here I am today. I went to school in Mexico until I was eight years old. At that time, my parents decided that we needed to be in the United States full time for my medical care. In 2009 I was reborn when I trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior. I realized he died for me. During my school years, I recieved a lot of therapy including physical, occupational and speech. At my high school graduation, I actually got out of my wheelchair and walked with a walker up to get my diploma. It about killed me but it was worth it. Some therapy was done at school but most was out of school. I live in both an English and Hispanic environment and enjoy both cultures. When I left highschool I was determined to find a job and then COVID arrived. I am currently in a program for special needs people. Also I work at Childrens Therapy TEAM and UAMS. In my spare time I enjoy speaking to groups about cerebral palsy and disabilities.
