Bio

My name is Amber Asad. I am a twenty-two-year-old girl who has type four quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Osteopenia, Amblyopia, Sleep Apnea, and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Cerebral Palsy is a physical disability, which is caused before, during, or after birth, due to a lack of Oxygen to the brain. When I was being delivered, the doctor did not clean the surrounding area when the doctor was taking me out, so I ingested my meconium, otherwise known as my first bowel movement. After I swallowed my meconium, I could not breathe for eight minutes, which caused my brain to be damaged, and that leads me to be diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of two. The kind of Cerebral Palsy I have is called quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, which means that my whole body is damaged. The type of Cerebral Palsy I have is type four, which means that my body was at its peak when I was seven years old, but my condition deteriorates faster than other people who have a different kind of Cerebral Palsy, as I get older and I will be physically one or two years old, by my mid-twenties. I also have Epilepsy, which is a seizure disorder. Also, I have a condition called Osteopenia, which is a condition where you have brittle bones, and it is the beginning stage of Osteoporosis. The next condition I have is called Amblyopia or lazy eye, which means that my eyes are not working properly, and it could lead to blindness. Also, I have a condition called Sleep Apnea, which is a sleeping disorder where I do not breathe properly, while I sleep. The last condition that I have is called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which means that my Ovaries do not function properly. Despite all of my health conditions, I still strive to be an influencer and entrepreneur.

I encourage everyone to get in touch with me at ambershopeforthedisabled@gmail.com and I will be happy to do a virtual speech for your events!

I hope to get in touch with you soon!

Sincerely,

Amber Asad
