I am a passionate and enthusiastic Social Care Professional working with adults and children with disabilities. I have previously worked in many social care roles within the disability sectors including management. I have previously taught on the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) & (Ordinary) in Social Care while also providing practical workshops for students prior to entering work in the disability sector.
I completed a M.A. by Research titled "An Exploration of the Effectiveness of the use of Communication Apps through mobile devices on children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)" in 2016. As part of this M.A. I developed a communication App that is based on the Picture Exchange Communication System (P.E.C.S.).
Most recently I have Co-Founded a business called myAccessHub. We work intensely with organisations to increase accessibility for employees and customers who are Neurodiverse (Autism Spectrum Disorders, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, etc.). We provide on-site sensory environment assessments along with Autism Awareness and Equality Training. We have also developed a product called alvrCloud which provides organisations with a sensory environment simulation and an online training module.
