Bio

My name is Michael Towers and I am the C.E.O of Speaking of Your Success.

I am a subject matter expert in the areas of leadership, mental health, addiction, and college success.

My passion is to help people recover from the damaging consequences of mental illness, addiction, and family dysfunction.

My mission is to utilize my knowledge to improve the lives of people that suffer.

I have overcome so many circumstances that should have defeated me, and I want to show others how to overcome the obstacles meant to defeat them.

My message is that "no matter your hurts, your mistakes, or your diagnosis; you can accomplish any goal and live a life beyond your wildest dreams!"

I want to use my story to help anyone who wants to rewrite theirs.

Oftentimes, people struggling with mental illness and addiction cause unintended damage. Hurting people hurt people, and I have a heart for helping hurting people.

My hope is that I can empower others to positively impact the people that they LOVE, LEAD, & LIVE NEAR.

Since people spend most of their time at work, I can make the biggest impact in the workplace. Empowering leaders to lead better, has a cascading affect that can be exponentially powerful.

By educating organizations on the strategies to address mental health issues their employees will become healthier, and the results positively impact the bottom line!

I designed Speaking of Your Success to help organizations reach their highest potential. I do that by empowering leaders with principals that transform company culture.

I offer programs focused on improving employee mental health. My presentations are powerful informative, and engaging and are designed to be transformative.

Extreme Mental Health Makeover

I designed this to equip leaders with the principles to cultivate a workplace that promotes mental wellness.

Mental health can be a predictor of overall wellbeing. When infected by a toxic company culture the organization is contagious and is making their people sick

Unreasonable demands, long hours, and workplace bullying can cause the performance of your company becomes congested, and the organization flatlines. Your people need C.P.R.

Connection - Peer groups and support networks reduce stigma and encourage people to open up. When your employees feel connected, they feel cared for.

Protection - A good leader is encouraging and values listening as a skill. Employees who feel protected, perform better.

Redirection - Reasonable expectations limit stress and eliminate burnout. Give employees the right direction and they deliver.

When a company is supportive the result is greater performance, increased productivity, and less missed work. A healthy workplace is good for business!

Person - Centered Leadership

I designed Person-Centered Leadership to initiate leaders with the principals to get the utmost from their employees, so that they deliver their highest for the organization.

Person-Centered Leadership was inspired by Carl Rogers a therapist who treated his patients like humans who had control over their outcomes instead of sick people that were helpless.

He found that by being transparent, listening attentively & without judgement, & by making his clients feel like they were understood they grew, flourished, & became the best version of themselves

As a leader if you commit to building strong relationships with the people you lead, & are authentic, accepting, & understanding there will be less burnout & conditions will improve.

If motivation & commitment are nurtured with growth, development & wellbeing organizational success will be achieved.

From Diagnosis to Degree

Partying, mental health issues, unhealthy relationships, and poor prioritization are all reasons that students struggle. I know, because those are the reasons It took me 17 years to earn my degree.

I want to use my story to engage, educate, and inspire students so that nothing will stop them.
