When I talk about understanding the transition process from the military to the civilian sector, I do it from firsthand experience. As a former military professional with over 20 years in the United States Army, I served in a wide variety of roles and assignments both at home and abroad.
I know the stressors and struggles that the military community goes through as they transition into the private sector because I went through them myself. I leverage my experience with operations and project management, team building, leading, mentoring and coaching, and training and development to the benefit of businesses by showing them how to effectively translate military experience into terms more aligned with the corporate environment. This helps provide these companies with a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Leaving the military behind isn't easy, and Hollywood hasn't done a lot to help make it easier, but that's why I'm doing what I'm doing. I believe our military community has a lot to offer corporate America. We just need to bridge the knowledge gap between the two in order to really move things forward.
