Shame: It's Time To Start Talking About It

Shame is a a universal experience taboo to discuss in our culture that leads us to believe that we are not “good enough". Silence allows it to build inside of us, leading to the development what Brene Brown calls “Strategies of Disconnection” or interpersonal defense mechanisms to manage the intensity of the pain. These defenses act as self-preservation but keep us in the stickiness and cyclical feeding of the shame, leading to mental health challenges, interpersonal conflicts, complacency and lack of self-efficacy. Join me in learning about shame - what it is and how it develops, along with ways to recognize strategies of defense ourselves and others. From there, we will build our capacity to face and find healing from our shame stories and develop a sense of resiliency to protect us from future threats.

From Busy to Productive: Making the Shift from Chaos to Calm

We live in a culture that perpetuates busyness. Rushed deadlines, the pressure to deliver more, and the persistent challenge to balance one's personal and professional perpetuate this. Our creativity is stifled, yet the demands to be more creative are mounting and the pressure to stretch ourselves thinner consumes us. The effect? Chronic exhaustion and discontent. It's time to change the narrative. In this session, we will discuss how to reconnect with our "whys" and values and create a workflow and life that aligns with it, switching from a cycle of busyness to one of intention.

Getting Comfortable Being Uncomfortable

Learning to live authentically with joy and passion lies in the ability to understand and embrace with open arms the intersection of your deeply rooted fears, vulnerability and freedom. Join me on the path to self discovery as we uncover the ways in which we inadvertently let our fears guide our lives, stifling our ability to grow and reach our true potential when we don't uncover and get to know them. Through this interactive workshop, we will explore ways you can explore your own barriers, make a shift in your perspective and see fear as a confidant that when more deeply understood and explored can help us shift our narrative to a more authentic life with limitless potential.

Designing a lifestyle in line with your values

Every day we are bombarded with new ideas, people, and choices that force us to make countless decisions. These decisions may often seem small but contribute in large part to the way we carry ourselves through the world. Each decision adds up and adds a new layer to who we are. And for most of us, we are trying to make decisions that allow us to be the best version of ourselves in all respects - the best partner, employee/employer, friend, parent, etc. The problem is, when we try to be the best at everything, we often find ourselves in a jumbled identity, making decisions that often put us at odds with ourselves. We lose site of who we are at our core and get caught in the chaos and bustle of the outside world and maintaining our superficial place in it. In this workshop, we will uncover our core beliefs and identity, redefine our values, and create a roadmap for perspective and actionable change to create the life we can thrive in.

Know Your Worth & How to Communicate It

In this workshop, we will explore the difference between our worth and value and basics in assertive communication to communicate those concepts more effectively and without caving to your negative self-talk. We will take time to explore the roots of our negative self-talk and self-efficacy “disruptors” to allow attendees to create greater insight and understanding about the narratives in which they have existed until now. From there, we will learn tangible skills and tools to help you lean into a more assertive lifestyle, protecting your time and resources and using them to cultivate a life in which you thrive rather than feeling lost in the pervasiveness threat of shame and negative self-talk.

clarifying your f*cks investments - putting your time, money & energy into things that matter

Whether it’s time, money, or energy, we all have a finite amount of resources available to us, so we need to be careful about the investment choices we make. Riddled with shame, guilt, fear and cultural pressures, finding clarity in those investments can feel like an insurmountable task. So, we find ourselves making plans we wish we could say no to, doing what we think we "should" or are "supposed to" do, spending money on things that are only superficially important, and can feel our energy slipping away. In this talk, we will explore more critically our investments and walk through a step-by-step process to create wiser investments connected to your values, intentions and dreams.

Finding Clarity in a World Full of Distortion

Throughout our lives, experiences and culture shape our views, attitudes and norms. While to some extent this is helpful and necessary, it often comes with rules, rigidity, “shoulds” and overall, a belief that we must stay on the never-ending chase to be enough. Our goals within this session will be to in learn about some of these unhelpful thinking patterns, rules of operation and distortions so that you can find the root of their development, understand the role they play in your life and rework the way you engage with them and their control in your life. Leave with a greater sense of freedom and alignment with your true self!

Goals, Intentions and Dreams...Oh My!

For many of us, we get stuck in the day-to-day grind, the mundane, the “should’s” in our lives, losing sight of the possibilities before us and forgetting to pursue the dreams we long to become our realities. In this workshop, you’ll create a vision for your future while imagining the possibilities and opportunities that align with your values. You’ll then create a map of tangible plans and goals to work towards while simultaneously creating and setting intentions for how to show up in the world, and continue to pursue passions and dreams.
