Bio

I help organizations and event professionals reduce the environmental impact of their events in order to preserve our planet and deliver powerful sustainability results.

I specialize in reducing & diverting waste at meetings and events. My experience ranges from conventions and banquets to festivals and concerts. I've led waste diversion programs at events with up to 24,000 attendees and my programs have resulted in waste diversion rates as high as 92.5%.

I'm a proud member of MPI and ILEA and I'm based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Six Steps to a Zero Waste Event

In this session, your audience will learn the six steps of the zero waste event planning process. This process can be used by any planner—at any level of experience with sustainability—to dramatically reduce the amount of waste generated by their events, plus produce meaningful measurements they can use to track and share their results.

Participants will engage in interactive discussion to deepen their understanding waste reduction, diversion and measurement techniques. This session is also available as a 2-3 hour workshop featuring interactive activities that allow participants to immediately apply zero waste planning strategies.

How to Reduce Expenses with Sustainable Event Branding & Design

In this session, your audience will learn practical event branding strategies that reduce costly printing expenses, establish brand longevity, and prevent unnecessary waste. The presentation uses real-world design examples to demonstrate the do’s and don’ts of cost-effective, sustainable event branding.

Length: 60 minutes

The Ultimate Guide to Reducing Event Waste

This session is not just another list of waste-reducing ideas, but an interactive forum for participants to discuss with their peers the barriers they face to implementing waste-reducing changes so they can hear solutions that have worked for others. Your audience will leave this session equipped to make more responsible procurement and event design decisions. Participants will also learn zero waste alternatives to common event supplies and elements, including many simple switches that can make a big impact.

Sustainability’s Impact on the Guest Experience

Your audience will learn the unique ways that sustainability, or the lack thereof, can affect the guest experience at an event. Participants will learn how to turn a negative experience into a positive one that improves their guests’ lasting impression of an event.
