As Founder and CEO of Good Scout Group, a consultancy specializing in organizational development, nonprofit branding and social impact strategy development, McCarty brings a unique level of experience and insight in helping organizations find fresh ways to evolve, broaden their reach, and give their marketing and fundraising initiatives greater impact. He has served as a chief strategist to leading corporate and nonprofit brands including the American Heart Association, Brooks Brothers, Heifer International, International Rescue Committee, The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, the NASCAR Foundation, the PBS Foundation, Nationwide Insurance, NBCUniversal, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and UNICEF.

Prior to founding Good Scout Group, McCarty served as Vice President of Corporate Alliances for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where he launched the organization’s first corporate marketing division and directed the nationally renowned brand awareness and fundraising campaign, Thanks & Giving. There, he and his team raised millions by creating cause promotions with retailers and brands including Kay Jewelers, Tommy Hilfiger USA, Chili’s Grill & Bar, and Williams-Sonoma.
