Bio

John Whitehead is an experienced leader, facilitator, and Professional Certified Coach (ICF Credentialed), with over 40 years of senior leadership and management experience. John holds a Masters Degree in Leadership from Royal Roads University, Victoria, BC, and before becoming a Certified Executive Coach (CEC, Royal Roads University, Victoria, BC,) held a senior operational position with a leading national organization, achieving significant recognition for his results. John’s clients have included senior and emerging leaders in various industries including major utilities, mining, sports, Hi-Tech, entertainment, retail and direct sales, along with coaching other coaches and training professionals.

Along with his personal coaching practice, John is currently a Corporate Trainer at Okanagan College, British Columbia, was formally an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Management, University of British Columbia, Okanagan, and travels internationally including the United States, Europe and the Middle East facilitating leadership workshops. John describes himself as a continuous learner, motivated to learn more so that he can better help others achieve their goals.

Developing a Resilient Mindset

is a full or half day presentation to build resiliency and high performance in a fast-paced world. Resiliency is a way to productively deal with stress and overcome our brain’s natural, counter-productive ways of thinking. This course teaches people about the sources of their stress, their response patterns to stress, and practical strategies for altering those responses. The course includes the Adaptive Mindset for Resiliency Multi-Rater profile. Facilitating this course requires certification. You may choose to certify your own staff or use TRACOM’s certified instructors to deliver convenient and effective on-site training.

Uncovering Unconscious Bias

We all have them - unconscious biases. So what can we do about it? Open ourselves to what they might be and then... well thats the hard part, but first its about self-awareness. This one hour presentation opens up the subject of unconscious bias and starts the journey. This workshop came out of a request from an organization that wanted a one hour presentation on "How to become an inclusive leader" ... this was the start for them.
