Strengths 2.0 - Applying Design Thinking to Individual and Team Strengths

Through the metaphor of sport, learn how individuals and teams can use innovation approaches to identify and leverage their unique strengths (and design around weaknesses). Become empowered to solve old problems in new ways and achieve breakthrough results.

Resiliency 2.0 - Applying Design Thinking To Stress & Resiliency

Instead of trying to manage or reduce stress (or get “work-life balance back”), learn how to perform better under even greater stress (and enjoy it.) Explore a new model of resiliency, one where proactive challenges are designed to build capacity for ever greater performance under pressure while learning the latest neuroscience of recovery.

Time 2.0 - Applying Design Thinking to the Human Experience of Time

Our days are lled with experiences and memories, some stored and retained, some not. What creates a memorable memory? What is the nature of the relationship between memory and time perception? How do we measure the true value of our time? Of our
experiences? In this unique mind-bending talk, John shares breakthrough ideas on how to re-think your relationship with time and design time-stopping experiences for yourself, your family and your customers.

Leadership 2.0 - Innovation Mindsets and Why They Matter

An empowering primer on leadership mindsets that are necessary to drive innovation within an organization. Can be combined with more topics including: 1) Design Thinking overview and activation; 2) Ideation best practices and practice; 3) Innovation Antibodies (Victim vs. Innovator); and 4) Innovation Culture Kryptonite (Learner mindset vs. Knower mindset).

  • John was one of our speakers during our leadership summit which laid the foundation for our transformation in Coca-Cola Latin America. What started out as an invitation for a keynote speech to share his personal story evolved into a partnership on how we embed the required personal leadership to change our organisation. His concepts on ‘knower’ vs. ‘learner’ leader struck a chord with our leaders and quickly became part of the dialogue after the meeting. Ditto with the approach of ‘designing for strengths’ as our natural tendency was to focus on fixing our gaps and weaknesses. But beyond the meaningful content, what I appreciate most about John is his active engagement - before during and after the summit - which in my mind shows personal care and consideration in making the people who work with him genuinely better. He is very generous of his ideas, his time and most importantly of himself. My experiences with John were not just moments of learning but also moments of gratitude.

  • If ever you are in need of a keynote speaker, John is a sure bet. Our company hired John for a key client symposium earlier this year and I have consistently received positive feedback. His remarks turn conventional thinking on its head and push listeners to get outside of their comfort zone. John's focus on strengths & weaknesses, human resiliency, and the malleability of time challenged our audience in exciting ways that still have them talking. We have already asked John to come back next year. John is a great investment.

  • If you want an inspiring, personable and engaging speaker, John K. Coyle is the right choice! John joined our commercial sales and marketing organization to speak on Design Thinking, ultimately bringing to life ways we can be most innovative, strategic and exceed goals by focusing on leveraging personal talents. After John's presentation, I immediately observed our team citing notes from the session, proving John's influence and impact. In turn, it is motivating to see a large organization uplifted and internalizing personal success. Thanks John!

  • John Coyle exceeded all expectations at the 2016 ACETECH Whistler Summit. His powerful message about slowing the acceleration of time by designing a life with more meaning and memories really resonated with this exclusive audience of 120 technology CEOs. He challenged them to think differently about their lives from a perspective they could all relate to. John completely engaged in the Summit activities making himself available to attendees over 2 1/2 days. That commitment was the icing on the cake. John was an absolute delight to work with and I would highly recommend him as a speaker.

  • John is more than just a dynamic and memorable speaker. He will leave you with thoughts, tips and techniques that genuinely will change the way you live your life; giving you the ability to appreciate the moments of life that matter the most. John's ability to share his unique life experiences but yet relate to his audience is what makes him so special. Far beyond his speaking ability, John is a sincere and humble man who believes in what he preaches. I'd highly recommend John to anyone who is willing to take a unique approach to sending a message to their audience. If you work with John, prepare to be dazzled.
