Jody Wheeler is an award-winning creative, speaker, and instructor with a career rooted in helping people explore and transform their stories. Before becoming a filmmaker and educator, Jody worked as a therapist and social worker, guiding individuals through the complexities of their lives. In this role, he discovered the profound power of narrative—not just as a tool for healing, but as a way to shape identity, convey meaning, and inspire change. This early experience laid the foundation for his journey into filmmaking, teaching, and public speaking, where he continues to help people unlock the potential of their personal and creative stories.

Jody’s fascination with storytelling is reflected in his diverse academic achievements. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from James Madison University, followed by a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from George Mason University, and later, a Master’s in Screenwriting and Film from UCLA.
