Before becoming a filmmaker and educator, Jody worked as a therapist and social worker, guiding individuals through the complexities of their lives. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from James Madison University, followed by a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from George Mason University, and later, a Master’s in Screenwriting and Film from UCLA.
