OPSEC is a Waste of Time

No operation, effort, or project can be completed successfully if you have adversaries who don't want to see you succeed and you give them the information they need to stop you. They can beat you to market, disrupt your operations, or worse! The organization is best defended when every employee learns OPSEC skills.

The problem is that OPSEC training is usually designed for OPSEC Program Managers who have to use risk assessment techniques to justify leadership decisions and budget expenditures. How can you convince your people of the importance when you're boring them to death with skills that only matter to a specific role?

OPSEC isn't a waste of time, but a lot of people think it is because we're not teaching it with the average person in mind. Instead of steps and formulas and math, why not show real world examples and consequences and tips framed from the point of view of everyday life – things we can all relate to.

Goodbye Identity Theft

At it's root, ID theft is an information risk management problem where, due to a flaw in someone's information practices, a thief gets your data and uses it for their own benefit. Without the knowledge of how this happens and what tools you can use to block it, you're left defenseless against the thief who steals your ID or the companies that run fancy commercials promising much, but delivering little actual protection.

This talk will help your audience understand the problem and learn steps to defend against the risk that ACTUALLY work and don't cost a thing.

Suck Less - The Positive Power of Negativity

We are trained to avoid negativity. We shun and ignore dissent, disagreement, problems, and negativity when, in fact, it is in negativity that we find our greatest opportunity.

Just as the check engine light should not be ignored, neither should the "griping" or complaining of your employees. Learn how to effectively connect to your workforce and harness the potential of top-to-bottom business collaboration - all without having to sign up for an "undercover manager" TV show.
