Jared Munch is a Minnesota based stand up paddle board athlete, instructor, and inspirational figure. Following being awarded the SUP Magazine "Expedition of the Year" award in 2015 for a 1300 mile, 46-day unsupported stand up paddleboard journey around the largest freshwater lake in the world and an unprecedented stand up paddleboard journey from Duluth, MN to the southern tidewaters of the Arctic Ocean in 2019, he has devoted his personal lifestyle to teaching and inspiring others to step outside of the box and pursue their passions on the water. Will you be next to step on board with him.

He is proud to donate 10% of all earnings I make through instructional and guest speaking services to the Neighborhood Youth Service, located in the Central Hillside Neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota.

Outside of paddling and social causes, he utilizes his time to perform work as a coastal engineer around the Great Lakes Region and down the Mississippi River into the Gulf of Mexico.

A SUPerior Adventure

Based on my unprecedented 1300 mile, 50 day unsupported journey around Lake Superior on a stand up paddleboard, this 1-2 hour speech gives insight to the life of a broke college student deviating from the typical life path in order to pull of the "impossible".

SUPerior to Sea

Based on my unprecedented 920 mile, 39 day unsupported journey from Duluth MN to the southernmost tip of the Arctic Ocean, this 1-2 hour presentation dives into the life of a master's engineering student trying to have one final hurah before beginning professional employment. Topics include the finer skills of stand up paddling and gives great insight to trip preparations while providing an overview of the journey - before, during, and after.
