Istvan Perger holds an MA in International Relations and Economics with a complementary degree in Legal Studies. He worked as a journalist before joining the European Parliament Press Service in 2005, where he eventually lead the team covering Foreign Affairs, Security and Defence, Development, Human Rights and Trade. During the Hungarian EU Presidency in 2011, he was posted to the Foreign Ministry of Hungary. Since 2012, he has been the Head of Communication of the European Commission Representation in Budapest, Hungary. He is a passionate traveller and travel photographer. Besides his native Hungarian, he speaks English, German and French.
