Bio

As a survivor of severe perinatal depression, anxiety, and OCD, I blend lived expertise with systems-level insight to drive transformative change in maternal mental health. I partner with nonprofits, health systems, and policymakers to amplify the patient voice and advance maternal healthcare.

Before pivoting to focus more on maternal mental health advocacy, I worked in Strategy and Business Development for a large nonprofit health system.

Transforming Maternal Mental Health: Insights from a Survivor & Healthcare Strategist

I struggled with postpartum anxiety and depression following a traumatic birth experience that included hemorrhage. My experience included suicidal ideation and a subsequent ER & psychiatric inpatient stay as well as a remarkable journey to recovery once I eventually found and accessed appropriate care. As a healthcare administrator myself who is married to a physician, I recognize many parts of my journey as manifestations of broader problems in healthcare delivery rather than one-off experiences.
