Dr. White provides strategic and operational consultancy services, coaching and life skills, conflict resolution, and nonprofit leadership. Leveraging extensive experience across numerous industries – including healthcare, insurance, and hospitality, Cheryl is an invaluable asset to companies looking to tap into her extensive expertise in the areas of crisis management, human capital issues, conflict resolution, cultural diversity and leadership development, as well as her exceptional abilities to analyze and identify procedural problems, provide practical solutions that result in greater effectiveness and productivity, as well as cost-saving benefits.
Throughout her career, Dr. White has held many critical leadership positions. Presently, she serves as Executive Director/CEO at Family In Distress, Inc., where she is actively engaged with the organization’s board members, volunteers and committees. Dr. White recently was a Keynote speaker for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), The State of State Address—Senator Daphne Campbell, and works with the local Dismas Charities, Inc. in implementing and teaching Thinking for a Change (T4C), a program designed to end prison recidivism by the National Institute of Corrections; partner with the Dept. of Children & Families Refugee Task Force, and with the Miami C.O.R.E. as a partner in aiding communities during national disasters, and Homeland Security in educating her community about Human Trafficking, and is a member of the Jamaican Women of Florida.
Moreover, Dr. White concurrently serves as President at Conflict Coaches, where she uses imagery and communication as primary tools for exploration and conflict resolution to strategically assist individuals, families, and organizations to find their own truths, answers and inner resources to maximize their potential. Cheryl also writes for the Dania Beach Press as a freelance journalist. Previously, Cheryl acted as Chief Compliance Officer at Carefree Insurance Services and Manager of Sales Administration at Humana Healthcare.
As a scholar, she earned her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership and Conflict Resolution from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She holds a Master’s Degree in Situational Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Communication-Mass Media, from the same university.
Additionally, Cheryl is a Certified Florida Supreme Circuit Court Family Mediator, keynote speaker for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), former active member and Secretary of the Kiwanis Club Dania Beach, former active member of the Chambers of Commerce in Miami and Hallandale, a former Guardian ad Litem, and author of the book, “There Will Always Be Another Day.”
