Amber Wilks

My name is Amber Wilks and I have been telling stories through design in some capacity for over 20 years. I'm currently a Lead User Experience Designer at Cerner.

Cerner is a leading medical technology company where I help solve complex problems with amazingly talented people. The more complex the problem, the more I enjoy working through it.

One of my passions is accessibility. I was first introduced to it when I was doing both design and front-end development work. I fell in love with it through the lens of Universal Design and designing for the equality of experiences. It's something I'm so passionate about that I've spoken about it at several conferences. The most recent conference I spoke at was Midwest UX 2016.

I also speak about crafting cross-platform experiences, the impact of security on usability, and building future-proof design systems.
