Bio

Hi! My name is Caitlin and I am a YouTuber and a motivational speaker. I have a small YouTube channel that I am hoping to grow with the help of this website. I have a condition called Cerebral Palsy, which affects everything in my life. On my channel, I post videos talking about what it’s like to live with a physical challenge and vlogs sharing what goes on in my day to day life, sharing some of the unique things that I go through on a daily basis. I also want to let people know that just because I have a disability, it doesn't mean that I can't be like everyone else.

Being Comfortable Around Disabled People And Treating Them With Respect

Being Comfortable Around Disabled People And Treating Them With Respect

How do you feel sitting next to a disabled student in your class?
How do you feel when you see a person with a disability shopping or walking down the street?
Have you ever been on a bus or a train and when a person in a wheelchair takes extra time to get on or off, how does that make you feel? I am asking you all these questions because disabled people are still people and as a society we need to learn to be comfortable with them and treat them like everyone else.

15% of the world’s population have a disability of some kind.

In my experience growing up and as an adult with a disability I have almost always been treated differently.
So I thought I would share my story with you all. Let’s start from the beginning, my twin sister and I were born at 28 weeks gestation, which is 12 weeks premature.
