Bio

I was always known as "the shy kid", living in constant fear of what others would think of me, embarrassed by my love of all things nerdy, afraid to speak up or be seen. Having realized how much joy my fears and self-judgment stole from my youth (and adult life), I've made it my life goal to joyously challenge every fear I encounter in life. I am passionate about giving others the keys to change their life: teaching them to embrace their fears and love their uniqueness.

Examples of Personal Growth

I strive to embrace my own fears and challenge my limiting beliefs whenever I encounter them. Life is my teacher, and I have a long way to go and a great many lessons to learn; but as I learn, I want to share with others and help lift them up along the way. Here are a few examples of what I consider personal milestones and accomplishments:

* My entire life, I fostered and believed that I was a horrible dancer (coupled with various beliefs that came with a very conservative religious background). In February of 2019, I started dancing socially, and then dove into private lessons. In April of 2019, I performed for Luis Van Amstel (Dancing With The Stars, LaBlast) and a live audience of over 100.

* My entire life (as recently as 2018), I believed my ideas were not worth others' time. I perpetually apologized for presenting my ideas and assumed that sharing them were a waste of time.

Within 6 months of being hired to a position in a Fortune100 company, I took the initiative to pitch a job position to both my direct manager as well as the COO of our division. I have been directly involved as a SME in multiple projects of company-wide scope.

* As a freshman in college, I was absolutely terrified to stand in front of people even for a simple presentation. By the time I finished my Master's degree, I was performing in front of audiences of 2,000+.

Presentations

Presentations (6)
Using the Power of Your Breath

You're about to give a presentation. Your hands are clammy, your body is shaking, and you can't collect your thoughts. What if you could mediate these major distractions? Few people are aware how much breath affects our body and our ability to communicate. Learn how to gain and maintain control of your presentations just by utilizing your breath.

Befriending Your Inner Critic

Most of us have experienced it at one point or another: you make a mistake, and suddenly this voice in your head starts berating you. From a very early age, we have learned to attach value statements to facts of life. In this talk, learn how to recognize and filter out the negativity of your inner dialogue and turn it into one of your most potent allies.

Embracing Change

Going to a new school. Getting a new supervisor at work. Getting rid of old clothes. Making new friends. Death. We have been conditioned fear change - evolutionally and culturally - but a byproduct of this fear is stunted growth and lack of development. Accepting and leveraging change can be a superpower: this discussion provides tools to change your mindset and approach to change.

The Subtle Effect of Authenticity

Have you ever encountered someone who believes so much in what they are doing that you believe it, too? We've been taught to create a fake image of ourselves, based on what we think others want from us. This presentation turns the paradigm on its head by posing the question: what if the real you is actually more valuable?

The Audience Connection

The most effective speakers have something beyond mere psychological hacks to create audience acceptance. I believe they have something far deeper: authenticity. Authenticity begins with inner freedom and acceptance of yourself. This leads to clarity and focus of your belief. The result is the power to be simultaneously confident in your purpose, compassionate of others’ expression, and open to differences of beliefs - resulting in growth and deep connection. Learn how to cultivate authenticity in this talk.

Becoming a Superhero

Be it a brand-name superhero, a family member or community member, or a public figure, nearly everyone has been touched by a hero. We admire heroes, and regardless of age...there’s something inside of you that wants to imitate them. It’s already inside of you: you just need your own permission to act on it. The purpose of this talk is to give you just that: permission to be amazing.
