A Professor in the English Department at St. Mary's College of California, Alex Green is the author of four books and the editor of the daily music/culture site Stereo Embers Magazine (www.stereoembersmagazine.com).
A nationally-known moderator and dynamic public speaker, Alex hosts question/answer sessions with authors in front of live audiences for the likes of LitQuake, Green Apple Books, A Great Good Place For Books and the Bay Area Book Festival.
Alex started working in commercial radio at 16, where he found himself conducting live interviews with the likes of everyone from David Bowie to R.E.M. He now hosts the weekly long-form interview program Stereo Embers: The Podcast, and has counted author Bianca Marais, artist Maira Kalman and musicians Kristin Hersh and Inara George as his guests.
