Bio

Sami Aziz is a six-time Emmy winning executive producer, creative leader, and global storyteller whose career spans some of the most influential brands, institutions, and cultural platforms in the world.

As Head of Live Broadcasts at NASA, Sami led the agency’s most ambitious global productions, including the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, the OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return, and the Artemis Moon missions. His work reached hundreds of millions across television, streaming, and digital platforms and helped redefine how the public experiences science, exploration, and human achievement. Under his leadership, NASA+ earned its first two Emmys for live content.

Before joining NASA, Sami spent nearly a decade producing ABC's "Shark Tank," shaping more than 200 episodes and guiding entrepreneurs through stories grounded in resilience and possibility. Earlier in his career he helped bring hope to families across America on ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and produced for National Geographic, ABC, and Sony. He also served on the White House advance team, supporting domestic events with President and First Lady Obama. His experience spans unscripted, documentary, live broadcast, and global event formats that require precision, empathy, cultural fluency, and creative innovation.

Sami is trilingual and has lived and worked in the United States, Brazil, and Spain. This background gives him a global perspective on creativity and leadership. He is known for translating complex ideas into emotional and accessible narratives and for leading large cross functional teams during the most visible and high pressure moments in media.

Today, Sami speaks on creative leadership, producing the impossible, innovation at scale, and the art of building stories that move people. His signature talks help organizations identify and activate their “T 0 moment,” the moment when bold ideas take flight.
