Steven was a police officer with London’s Metropolitan Police for 30 years, with over half of that time spent as a Scotland Yard detective. He was part of investigations into the killings of over 100 victims.
He achieved the rank of detective inspector and was a nationally recognised senior investigating officer (SIO). He not only led murder enquiries but was also a detective constable (DC) and detective sergeant (DS) at Scotland Yard, so has an insight into all levels of investigations.
He was on Scotland Yard’s Anti-Terrorist Branch during the time of the London bombings on 7th July 2005. He received a commendation for his work on that investigation from the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Ian Blair.
He is also the author of Murder investigation Team: How Scotland Yard Really Catches Killers. The first book to go behind the scenes with this world renowned organisation.
As well as a police officer, he is a father of four, with two of his children having followed his career path as serving members of the Metropolitan Police.
