When France Springuel won the fourth prize of the International Tchaikowsky Competition in Moscow, she took a place among the greatest cello-soloists in the international concert world. She was also prize winner at the Tiji Competition in Bratislava, and got the “Prix du Jeune Soliste” in Montreal. In 1983 France Springuel was proclaimed “Soloist of the Year” in Canada, Switzerland, France, and Belgium, and in 1986 she was the “Festival Star” at the Flanders Festival.
