Michelle Kennedy is the author of Don't Pee in the Wetsuit and countless articles published across websites like HuffPost and Elephant Journal. Balancing difficult topics with humor, Kennedy writes and speaks about grief, moving through trauma, dating, body image, aging, and moving past the stories we tell ourselves that limit growth and fulfillment.
Kennedy speaks to and teaches small groups as well as large conferences. She also consults on public relations strategies that effectively reach members of the media, as well as on-camera performance, writing, and publishing.
For the past twenty years, Michelle Kennedy has worked as a television news reporter/anchor and now broadcasting professor. She also builds curriculum and courses in Multimedia Production including Radio & TV News Writing, Broadcast Journalism, Digital Marketing, Branding, Transmedia Storytelling, Multiplatform Production and Media Performance. She is currently writing a course around portrayals of Gender, Race, and Class in the Media. A SAG member, Kennedy acts, models, and hosts.
She has also traveled the world and focused much of her book around how to press pause on life to pack up and travel for an extended amount of time.
