As leaders we get so caught up in running the business and attending the myriad of meetings that we forget about the simple basics that helped us get to our current position. When was the last time you really connected to your extended team members? How many times this week did you go out of your way to acknowledge a specific action of someone outside of your normal group of coworkers?

We all have very specific ways that we think about things, whether that is empathetically or rigid, logically or free form. If we use our strengths and understand our thinking patterns it gives us a major advantage when we communicate with others, realizing that they too have patterns that we can use to help make sure the message is presented and received the best way.
