Bio

Dr. Marcelle Davis has worked with both for profit and non-profit organizations across several industries for over 25 years. She has since opened her own consulting firm, Wilson Davis Consulting, where she assists clients in the collection and analysis of their workforce and recruiting metrics. Marcelle is skilled in evaluating business landscapes and implementing projects and policies that enable organizations to integrate inclusion in business practices. Additionally, she is experienced in providing organizational leaders with the tools and strategies that equip them to move from the ideation of inclusion to the integration of it. As an analytical strategist who understands the value of collaborating and partnering with key stakeholders, Marcelle conducts assessments to identify opportunities that increase overall organizational performance. In addition to her robust experience in diversity and inclusion, she also has a background in academia. Marcelle’s career in academia includes both the design and facilitation of graduate and undergraduate courses and the facilitation of courses that include but are not limited to Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Cross-Cultural Management, Diversity in Organizations and Operations Management.

Her consulting firm, Wilson Davis Consulting specializes in the areas of organizational culture, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, performance management and strategic planning. Marcelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University, MBA from American Intercontinental University and Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Regent University. She has published two articles in the Journal of Practical Consulting, a third in the Journal of Business Diversity titled Global Leadership and a book titled Measuring Inclusive Leadership with G.R.A.C.E.

Measuring Inclusive Leadership with G.R.A.C.E.

Today's global marketplace has caused the borders between countries to function in a fluid manner. To that end, the dimensions of diversity have moved beyond race and gender and now include many identifiers that are both visible and invisible to the naked eye including, but not limited to, religion, education, family status, sexual orientation, and culture. In order to effectively respond to the needs of their diverse audience, leaders must demonstrate inclusive behavior in a manner that is easily recognizable by anyone who is exposed to them. I want to ensure leaders are equipped to respond to the marketplace and understand how to leverage diversity and advance inclusion. #InclusionMovement

An effective leader must first know how to be a follower. This workshop equips participants with various strategies they can leverage to build or strengthen their leadership behavior.

Global Leadership

Leaders are faced with many challenges today. As the marketplace expands and our borders become more fluid, leaders must ensure their organizations maintain a competitive edge while effectively leading a diverse workforce. While there are different types of diversity, there are key leadership competencies that are necessary for success as leaders try to take their organizations to the next level. This session will teach you about the critical skills and techniques a global leader needs – particularly when it comes to leading multicultural women. The session demonstrates how global leadership impacts the individual, the team, and the organization as a whole. After teaching the importance of these skills, the facilitator will engage audience with small group exercises where they are given challenges that require small group discussion in order to develop a solution. This allows the facilitator to gauge the depth of audience's understanding and ability to apply skills that were taught.
