My focus for every business is to plug all the leaking holes in the boat, maximize profits and get as close to a sellable business as possible. If you don't sell then great, you have an efficient business serving you. If you sell, you will get the maximum amount by being set up properly.
Once I made the pivotal decision to go full out into business it took 4 1/2 years become financially independent at the age of 40. I have been fortunate enough to try many different ventures in life that most people dream about and never do, from real estate flipping, to airbnbs, company syndication investing, e-commerce stores, franchises, stock trading, crypto-mining, etc. I don't say this to brag, I say this because my biggest fear in life is being on my death bed with regrets of not doing or trying something I wanted to.
I have a few left but i'm learning that the more I can focus on one thing the better I am at doing that thing instead of a bunch of things not very good.
