Briaunna Embrey-Banks

Briaunna Embrey-Banks is a 23 year old CEO & Founder of an organization and a business. Her organization, Owning My Blackness that works to educate, advocate, and elevate black students. Her business Owning My Blackness Consulting works with educators to help reduce systematic racism in education.

Embrey-Banks is a current student at the University of Maryland, where she is in the process of getting her masters degree in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Leadership. Embrey-Banks was also the 2021 Mid- Atlantic Association for College & University Housing Officers' Commitment to Social Justice Award winner.
