Isn’t that what we all want … to be understood? I’m a very passionate person who brings creativity, organization, and a strong commitment to excellence to every project. I make it my business to gain a deeper understanding of my client’s goals and overall vision. Curiosity is a skill I horned during my years of working as a journalist for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, CNN, CBS, and the Birmingham News. When I transitioned my career from journalism to the field of Information Technology, my ability to ask hard and leading questions was advantageous in my quick climb to leadership roles.
I am best known for my ability to build high performance teams and for helping individuals to elevate their careers. I was awarded the Governor’s (GA) Leadership Award, the Process Improvement Award (Cox), Team Leadership Award (Delta Air Lines), the BOSS Network Business Star, and the Leadership Excellence Coin from the 78th Aviation Troop Command.
My deep conviction to help others grow and passion for facilitating training, keynote speaking, and coaching led me to launch, Yvette Gavin Consulting, a certified woman owned business. I’ve facilitated leadership workshops and training for the U. S Consulate in Brazil, the Georgia National Guard, and Ernest Young to list a few. My professional speaking experience consist of local, national, and international platforms such as the International Women's Leadership & Empowerment Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
