Vibert Noble is a keen solar eclipse chaser and has travelled to experience six eclipses to date, with further trips planned in 2026, 2027 and 2028 to Spain, Egypt, and Australia or New Zealand respectively. He loves to travel in general and visits Lapland in January every year to experience the changing of the seasons from polar night to midwinter. He’s also a regular visitor to La Palma, has undertaken several US road trips and even recently voyaged to Svalbard in the Arctic.
For the last four years Vibert has lived in the Vale of Belvoir and loves walking in the local area. He’s also a member of a local independent cinema in Nottingham and attends concerts within the wonderfully intimate atmosphere of the Union Chapel every few months.
As well as watching solar eclipses, Vibert enjoys star gazing in general, both from his home, or when on holiday; he usually packs an 80 mm refractor telescope or 15 x 50 IS pair of binoculars when going on vacation. When at home, Vibert relishes trying various English wines, and he has visited Chapel Down and Three Choirs Vineyard, among others. The latter is located in the heart of Gloucestershire and is one of the oldest vineyards in England.
Vibert is a long-standing fan of Crystal Palace F.C. and still attends around 10 games every season, despite his new home in the East Midlands. He has also enjoyed watching his local Hundred cricket team, the Trent Rockets, over the last few seasons. Vibert has recently begun learning Spanish, something he hopes will be useful during his next trip to La Palma.
