Bio

Meet Troy L. Love - the self-love light-bearer with a knack for personal growth and a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh (which he swears he got after surviving countless all-nighters and a lot of perogies).

Currently serving as the Clinical Director of Yuma Counseling Services in Yuma, Arizona (which he affectionately calls the Land of Sand and Scorching Heat and literally where Han Solo was thrown into the Sarlaac), Troy is dedicated to helping people achieve greater peace, joy, and love in their lives, while also surviving the occasional sandstorm.

As the founder of Finding Peace Consulting (which is affiliated with actual treasure hunting - finding the treasure within), Troy wears many hats - Psychotherapist, Educator, Consultant, and Keynote Speaker. He's also a two-time Amazon Best-Selling Author (he's practically a literary rockstar, except with more self-help and fewer groupies), and a TEDx speaker (he can talk about self-compassion and living in truth for hours, just ask his kids).

In his free time (which is a rare commodity), Troy hosts the Finding Peace Podcast (where he dreams of interviewing Oprah and Brene’ Brown) and teaches as an Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University. According to his students, he's basically a superhero without a Ph.D. - (because who wants to go into student loan debt just to be called Dr. Love)

With additional certifications in Sexual Addiction Treatment (his favorite topic to discuss with the stranger in the middle seat on a plane) and Breathwork, Troy specializes in working with trauma-related concerns, couples struggling in their relationships, and individuals trapped in a cycle of compulsive or addictive behaviors (he's an expert in breaking bad habits, except for his addiction to dad jokes).

But wait, there's more! Troy's extensive training repertoire includes EMDR, Brainspotting (it's not about looking for male pattern baldness, he swears), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (he's the ultimate couples' matchmaker), and addiction recovery (he can resist the urge to eat an entire pizza, most of the time).

When he's not busy changing lives and spreading self-love vibes, Troy is a doting father to two amazing children (who he suspects might be plotting to take over the world), and in his rare moments of downtime, he volunteers to host webinars and drop-in groups for individuals needing support (because he's just that nice).

So, if you're in need of some spiritual growth, self-love, and a good laugh, Troy L. Love is your go-to guy (and he promises not to break out into a dad joke during your therapy session, unless you ask for one).

We often struggle with finding joy, peace, and abundance in our lives, especially when we have experienced loss, rejection, abandonment, betrayal, neglect, and abuse. The negative core beliefs such as not being enough can be embedded into the nervous system leaving lifelong suffering. And as a result, our brains work tirelessly to prevent these attachment wounds from being triggered ever again.

  • I have heard Troy speak in conferences professionally and to groups of clients. He has an incredible ability to speak to the level of the audience and help them understand as though he is an equal. He is professional and relatable. As a highly distracted individual I am always engaged when I hear him speak even when I have had heard his similar prepared presentation multiple times. It actually surprises me that he continues to engage my attention each time. I hold my own in my ability to speak and connect with a crowd but Troy is someone I actually envy his skills.
