My greatest strength is my ability to connect with people where they are. It doesn’t matter where you live or what you do; connecting authentically builds confidence and a path to trust. From there, all things are possible.

With 20+ years of SaaS experience, I see the current state of our industry not as a snapshot in time but as an evolution fueled by innovation. Having a point of view on the past, present and future state has served me well when evaluating market opportunities, strategies and partnerships.

I’ve worked in software organizations as large as Salesforce (25,000 employees in 2017, now 49.000), the dominant category leader, as small as AkitaBox, a bootstrapped SMB company, and numerous companies that fall somewhere in between. This journey has given me a first-hand perspective on the partnership lifecycle from discovery to demand generation to execution and a very granular understanding of how to scale for consistent growth.

Born of blue-collar parents in rural Northern California, Tom Williams graduated from San Francisco State with a degree in English Literature. After finishing an internship with a Hewlett Packard subcontractor in San Francisco, Tom started his career in the Software Industry as a technical writer and quickly progressed into business operations, sales support, and ultimately Partnerships and Alliances roles, where he has spent the past 20+ years. Given a front-row seat to the evolution of the largest software companies like Amazon, IBM, Motorola, Microsoft, and Salesforce, Tom developed and managed hundreds of partnerships with these hyper scalers and their ecosystems of partners, which have given him a unique point of view on how partnerships have transformed over the past 20 years. In short, everything has changed except for the basic frameworks common to our trade.
