Tamra Tharp

Tamra was born the eldest of 4 children in the home of a Southern Baptist Minister and his wife. She has referred to herself as the "black sheep" of the family due to her rebellion during her adolescent years. She was known to "dance to her own tune". She was born and raised in the state of Texas, where she graduated from nursing school in 1995. She has been a professional registered nurse practicing currently in the field of Behavioral Medicine. She also spent many years as a trauma nurse and a few years as a faculty of a nursing program. She has been a travel nurse for the past 4 years, and is accompanied by her husband, Tex. Together, their blended family has 3 grown children residing in Texas and Georgia. Tamra is a professing Christian, and believes in ongoing spiritual transformation. She believes Agape love is the essential ingredient in both her spiritual and professional world. She enjoys nature, and has a fondness for exotic birds. She can also be found writing poetry out in nature in her spare time. She is looking forward to growing a ministry she founded called Redemptive Resources Outreach Ministry. She envisions transformation of lives through provision of written, spoken, and material resources.
