Tamesha Geter

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia during the height of the "crack error". Bouncing around from place to place so the city is my home. I entered Foster Care at a young age, and never got out. Who knew I would spend my entire life battling a war that wasn't mines. Joined the US Army at the age of eighteen. Married by twenty, divorced by twenty-one. Mother of two beautiful daughters by twenty-two. Every storm that has came my way, I have had to fight my way through. I want to be able to show young girls in foster care and all around this world that even we we don't understand our storms we never give in. Eventually, the storms do pass and the sun begins to shine.
