Emerging Governance for AI

As we know AI is going to advance faster than any innovation we have ever seen. Society appears to be unprepared in legal, economic and other ways for many of the changes that AI will bring to our lives. Experts believe that government guidelines would not be able to keep with the pace of the development of technology. Therefore it might be more useful to produce the framework to translate ethical principals into things companies can do in the offices.

What Board should now about ethics in technology

Bord of directors owes a duty of care that can, therefore, be summed up as the requirement that directors be present, informed, and engaged. If we talk about the Board of technology company in order to fulfill the duty of care Board has to understand the technology to the extent when it can analyze and mitigate the risks. Unethical technology is a business risk. Board has to be able to discuss possible negative consequences of unethical technology by breaking up the process into stages of product development and analyzing the risks related to the poor ethical regulations.
