Before becoming a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, our speaker was a seven-time #1 salesperson nationally and an International sales leader out of a sales force of 5,000, which inspired his book, “Sell When You See The Whites of Their Eyes!” He has also interviewed over 500 CEOs about Relentless Leadership on his “PlayMakers Talk Show.”
As a result, he became a Thought Leader and a Relentless Expert in addition to giving back by working with kids in the AVID program (Advancement Via Individual Determination) in order to develop their Relentless and Leadership skills. In addition, he helps animal rescue organizations such as StrayDog.org.
He’s survived:
being fired from his first job after college
6 broken bones
a plane crash
a negative net worth of a quarter of a million dollars
…and he’s survived over 30,000 sales presentations.
Steve grew up in the Midwest, later attending college where he studied broadcasting and communications. He went to work as a one-man news staff for a local radio station, quickly learning that those who become successful are those who do what everyone else doesn't want to do. He was fired from his News Director role and was rehired, selling for the radio station.
His sales work, which saw him land over 400 referrals a month and reach the top 2% of salespeople nationwide, eventually inspired his bestselling book, "Sell When You See the Whites of Their Eyes!"
Steve moved to Dallas, Texas, where he began giving powerful workshops to teams of ambitious sales people. This began a decades-long career of speaking to top salespeople, businesses, organizations and teams around the globe as he shares how to become Relentless toward achieving, exceeding and redefining their goals in a constantly evolving landscape.
Combining the impressive presence of a master salesman and the fact-based approach of a a diligent researcher, Steve brings memorable style and irreplaceable substance to every keynote he delivers.
