Bio

Hi! I'm Sarah, certified Yoga instructor, founder of Sentia Yoga, Marketing Director, Master of Science, emcee, ex-conference producer.

In my 26+ years as a student of Yoga I have found inspiration, sanctuary and strength in the practice and I believe everyone can benefit from Yoga. I hold BSc and MSc degrees in Psychology, and spent a year researching behavioural neuroscience at Harvard University: I love to bring these expertise to the mat and explore the mind body connection with my Yoga students and audiences.

Map out a life you love: Yoga, meditation and Goal setting

Creating a life you love is a powerful state to be in. As you focus on goals with a clear action plan you take one step forward towards transforming your wishes into your reality.
Looking at the role of chakras, the neuroscience of visualization, yoga and meditation, you will have practical tools, goals and an actionable plan to drive you towards creating your fabulous life.

Neuroscience and Meditation

Meditation can change the brain, this is a bold and pretty exciting statement. For a long time it was thought that your brain was fixed, unchanging, and your behaviours as a result were hard to change. But it turns out that with the discovery of a process known as neuroplasticity — our brains are more adaptive and changeable than we originally thought, and meditation can bring about this change.

Deal with stress and become your best self

Continued periods of stress damage your body. Not just in a ‘oh gosh I had a stressful week’ way, but in an actual physical way. Looking after your health and taking time to relax are not luxuries, but essential behaviours to perform at our peak. I'll explore methods of recognising, dealing with and reducing stress, with plenty of take home advice.
