Samantha Holvey has been an all-state athlete, Miss North Carolina USA 2006, a graduate of Brown University’s prestigious Healthcare Leadership Masters program, and paralyzed from a rare disease called Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Sam is the author of The Stairway to Heaven is Not ADA Compliant, her personal story of grit, faith, and an obnoxious amount of stairs. She has been featured on CNN, NBC, CBS, BBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post and more. She serves as a mentor for Journey, a college ministry program, where she helps young women find their strength to overcome a myriad of struggles. Sam continues to fight her own way through Guillain-Barre and it’s devastating effects on her body while also supporting others to find their strength.
