I am a passionate husband, father, entrepreneur, angel investor, and mentor to many founders. I've had a lifelong love of tech. I first learned how to program at 11, developed my first website at 13, reverse engineered my first binary at 15, and started my first internet business at the age of 16.
Currently, I am a Partner at Firebrand Ventures, a seed stage VC firm, where I invest in passionate founders who are committed to putting their own small (and maybe even big) dents in the universe.
Previously, I was at Amazon where I flew around and mentored and advised startups at the top accelerators and incubators and I tried to add as much value as I possibly could to each company. Before Amazon, I was a Product Manager for Reddit, where I owned all ads products.
Prior to Reddit, I was the CEO and co-founder of Appstores, which was acquired by mobile ad giant InMobi. Appstores later became the foundation for InMobi's Native Ads product before I left in 2014.
I co-founded Appstores after leaving Facebook, where I was an early employee and part of the Platform team. While at Facebook I helped major platform partners like Disney, Hulu and Spotify effectively leverage the Facebook Platform.
Before Facebook, I co-founded Ping.fm (acquired by Seesmic), a service that allows users to post across multiple social networks at once.
I moved to the Bay Area in 2007 to join Dotspotter (acquired by CBS Interactive) in San Francisco as a Senior Product Designer, where I launched the very first implementation of Facebook Connect and numerous social applications for various CBS Interactive properties.
I hold a bachelors from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, I'm left-handed, but I also love to code (even though I'm not the best at it). This gives my a unique perspective that allows me to be a huge asset in product, marketing, engineering, and operations to the companies I work for, advise, and invest in.
